October 6, 2016, Moscow, LondonIXcellerate, an unparalleled carrier neutral datacentre operator in Moscow, has confirmed its’ Moscow DC meets the highest operational management standards while lowering TCO. The expert jury of the annual Russian DC Awards, organized by IKS Media, announced IXcellerate as the winner in the Innovative Reduction of Total Cost of Ownership category.

IXcellerate’s application describes innovative approaches implemented throughout the construction and maintenance of the Moscow One DC. A balanced approach to reliability and fault tolerance, a preference for running cost-optimized solutions and other factors, including:

  • nuanced financial modelling created alongside of the technical design,
  • scaling effect,
  • streamlined internal processes and procedures,
  • standardized components,
  • team training and motivation,
  • modular construction,
  • long-term partnering,
  • multiple power suppliers choice.

The awards were monitored by a community of DC experts. Applications were evaluated by the most experienced and highly qualified specialists and companies on the market. This year the award’s organizers had introduced a form of “double-blind” voting for more objective results, no jury member knew whose project he was appraising.
