Couple of months since the time capsule laying, the first trucks arrived with steel beams to install main pillars.
All metal structures were designed by IXcellerate team and Arup taking further 3 weeks to produce them on the steel plant in Russia. The entire assembling works were completed within 45 days.
The construction guidance was to have all the metal structures coming pre-set, so that no welding works were required, and every connection was made with bolt junctions. The assembled carcass holds together and keeps its balance due to well-thought and calculated geometrical stability, rigidity and resilience of horizontal and vertical bracings.
Simply speaking, we were building a huge “Lego” set.
