On December 16, 2025, a time capsule containing a message to future generations was ceremoniously laid in the under-construction MOS7 data center. This event has become a tradition for IXcellerate, held for every new facility the company develops.
The ceremony was attended by IXcellerate employees, including CEO Andrei Aksenov, CTO Sergey Vyshemirsky, and Construction Director Vyacheslav Pak. Notably, for the second consecutive year, the time capsule laying took place on December 16. A similar ceremony was held last year at the MOS3 data center.
“The laying of a time capsule symbolizes the continuity of generations and respect for time. Builders of cathedrals and bridges have always left messages for descendants, believing their work would endure for centuries. Today, we continue this tradition in the digital era. Symbolically, a data center itself is a time capsule where data, solutions, discoveries, and dreams of our time are stored,” said Dina Nurkaeva, IXcellerate CMO, in her welcoming speech at the ceremony.
Over more than a decade, IXcellerate has grown from launching its first facility to becoming one of the leaders in Russian data center industry. The Moscow South Campus is developing as a strategically important site to ensure fault tolerance and geographic distribution of clients’ IT infrastructure. The launch of MOS7 will significantly increase available capacity and offer the market modern infrastructure for hosting high-load systems.
