IXcellerate, Russia’s premier carrier-neutral data centre operator, is pleased to announce the appointment of Roman Linin as Chief Financial Officer, joining Dmitry Fokin, COO and Guy Willner CEO.

Roman brings about invaluable business experience in management, finance and accounting. Before joining IXcellerate Roman held a position of Investment Director in the Elbrus Capital, a private equity fund, responsible for investments and management of portfolio companies.

A previous CEO in Kronverk Cinema, Russia’s leading cinema chain. Kronverk Cinema belongs to A1 Investments, a private equity unit of Alfa Group Consortium, in which Roman worked as Deputy Director of Asset Management.

Prior to his time in A1 Investments, Roman worked in the London office of Booz Allen Hamilton, and formerly in the Corporate Center of Alfa Group Consortium and in PricewaterhouseCoopers where he gained his ACCA.

This addition to IXcellerate follows their strong performance in the market during the last quarter of 2014. With the new information law emerging in Russia in September 2015, making it compulsory to store data in Russia; opportunities for a local Tier 3 Datacentre have increased and Roman’s presence in the team will consolidate and strengthen their market position.

Roman graduated from Moscow Engineering Physics Institute with Masters’ degree in Applied Mathematics and Higher School of Economics with Masters’ degree in Economics. In 2006 Roman graduated from an MBA program at Harvard Business School. Roman is also a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) since 2000.
